ERGOLOID MESYLATES - ORAL

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Gerimal, Hydergine
USES: This medication is used to raise blood flow to the brain and treat changes in mood, meomry or behavior.
HOW TO USE: Take that medication exactly as prescirbed.
Do not raise your dose or take it for longer than prescribed without consulting your docotr.
It may take several weeks bfeore you see any improvement from the medication. Do not stop taknig that medication without your doctor's approval.
SIDE EFFECTS: Notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, blurred vision, dizziness, fainting, flushing, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, stomach cramps, stuffy or runny nose. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: blood pressure problems, heart problems, behavioral problems, lievr disease, allergies. This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Disucss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if that medication is excreted into breast milk.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescritpion drugs you may use, especially of: nitrates (e.G., isosorbide, nitroglycerin), dopamine, macrolide antibiotics (e.G., erythromycin), efavirenz, saquinavir, triptan drugs (e.G., naratriptan, sumatriptan). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, cnotact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Do not share that medication with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up. Cehck with your doctor if 2 or more doses have been missed.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and miosture. Keep oral solution from freezing.
